Dry toilets are popular on boats for their space efficiency and eco-friendliness. Also Ideal for boats in areas with limited access to freshwater.

They save water by separating solid and liquid waste, using composting or incineration. Installation is generally easier compared to traditional marine heads. Requires less complex plumbing systems.

Also they minimize freshwater use and reduces the risk of marine pollution.
On the other hand some of the dry toilets create more plastic and plastic is not so innocent.
